Who are we talking to?

Have you ever thought about thinking. Or to be more precise, the way you think. You speak within your head and as said, thinking is lingual. Right?

Well it occured to me today, while thinking and then thinking about that thinking, that I'm actually talking to...yes, to whom or what?!

Thoughts are sentences, mostly, and said out loud within your head. But who says them, or what. You? If you say them, who is the one that understands them. You?

My question is - one maybe already answered by some psychologist or behavioral scientist or someone - who is talking to whom or what when we think?

That's all folks - until next time!

("while thinking and then thinking about that thinking" - at times I think you smoke...)

Oh really :)

How nice of you.

Seriously though, I'm just out of blogging. Hence that kind of ideas pop up in my mind...

I disagree that thinking is only lingual. I just don't believe people and animals are that different. For example, when I feel thirsty, I go and have a drink of water with no words in my mind. I just do it. And later on, probably I'll soon need to go to the restroom, once again with little thought in it.

But I do agree there can be words and even sentences in the mind. But they are not necessarily mine. Sometimes I get a vivid mental replay of what I've heard someone say earlier. Just like playing back a recording. And I can do that with images, as well. I can mentally see someones face and hear that person's voice if I like to. And sometimes, even when I don't like to. And what about a peace of music that you've heard from the radio and that keeps on playing in the head and won't stop unless replaced with something else. Scents and tastes are more difficult for me to recall.

Just my thoughts formatted in words.
