Homorocker 10 years / Rokkihomo 10 vuotta

Found these pages and registered in one of these days 10 years ago.

It was one of the early days in July in the year 2004 when I had just returned from a long holiday
in Berlin back to Finland and Turku and longed for
*much more*
gay- and queer-life around me than there was available
- and I had to settle for the net.

10 years. It is awhile.
Homorocker character had just been "born" in the Christopher Street's day (=Pride) in Berlin...
...and in some rock-concerts there (Pixies and Iggy Pop).

Back then, precicely 10 years ago the new big thing in rock-music was The Killers.

The videoclip below is recorded that Summer, when they were not yet playing
on bigger or the biggest venues, but in a cute way on a small stage in Glastonbury festival,
one of the major rock-festivals in England.
The song, today almost an "evergreen", is "All these things that I have done".

I think it fits to this "anniversary-like" post of this never-ending blog of mine.

Löysin tämän sivuston ja rekisteröidyin jäseneksi näinä päivinä 10 vuotta sitten.

Se oli jokin heinäkuun alkupuolen päivä vuonna 2004 kun olin palannut pitkältä lomalta
Berliinistä takaisin Suomeen ja Turkuun ja kaipasin
*paljon enemmän*
homo- ja pervoelämää ympärilleni kuin mitä täällä oli
- ja nettiin oli tyytyminen.

Kymmenen vuotta, onhan se pitkä aika.
Rokkihomon hahmo oli juuri "syntynyt" Berliinin Pridessä...
...ja rock-konserteissa siellä (Pixies ja Iggy Pop).

Silloin täsmälleen 10 vuotta sitten oli rock-musiikin puolella uusi iso juttu The Killers.

Tämä on sittemmin legendaarikseksi kasvaneesta kappaleesta
"All these things that I have done",
jota bändi vielä kesällä 2004 esitti söötisti Glastonburyn isojen festareiden pikkulavalla
(jo seuraavasta vuodesta lähtien bändi onkin esiintynyt vain niillä isoilla ja isoimmilla lavoilla):

Sopii tällaisiin "vuosipäivätunnelmiin" oikein hyvin.
