Won't be spending much of a New Year now that my head is full of bugger and I keep coughing and sneezing every two minutes but to the rest of you who have some activities for tonight apart from watching fireworks from the window and drinking five litres of hot juice: Happy New Year. That's a joke, of course; one night won't change anything except the number of unwanted pregnancies, STD statistics and ER's income. Next year humans will be just as selfish, self-centred and torturous as so far, if not even more so.

I'm so sick of this. I wanna go home already. Now my mother's boyfriend is goming over for dinner. I have no interest in participating this charade. Fuck this...

A fucking night owl.

Thirteen days and my sleeping rhythm is fucked again. Woke up around 3.30 PM today. This sucks. Why am I not capable of maintaining the rhytm for long? I doubt it would be any better if I lived in Down Under, I'd probably reverse the rhythm there too.

Found the problem causing the 'no channels found' alert on the digital receiver. It was my bad. I forgot to plug in the other end of the antenna. =) Too bad there's nothing worth watching on Sundays. I have no interest in seeing Tom Cruise.

Moving pt. 2.

I actually got my electronics centre functioning. The Playstation works, DVD's can be viewed, TV works... but there are no channels. And this isn't wrong wiring from my part. It should work, but it just doesn't find channels. I'm guessing the TV antenna I got yesterday is somehow wrong despite the seller's reassurings that all the antennas work everywhere. Not; the other part in the wall doesn't go in all the way which might be a plausible explanation. If only Pippi was here, she'd get it pushed in without problems. But I suppose I can live without the TV as long as I manage to locate and fix the problem. I guess I watch -an average- whole three programmes weekly (Uutisvuoto, C.S.I., House) plus the news. So no matter.

First blogging from Ground Zero.

I have managed to put the bed together and change the sheets. My main motivation was probably subconscious: my feet hurt and I'm so tired. My surroundings look like I'm in a bloody crisis centre; can't wait to get the boxes empty and out of my way. My new neighbour seems to be a fucking professional stalker or an FBI agent judging by the way he keeps sitting in the window apparently looking my way (there's only mine and his driveway and a fence in between and he has a very straight view to my bedroom). In the middle of working on the bed I had to dig out a pair of black curtains to do something else than stare back; obviously I had other things to do. They're not thick enough but surve their purpose for the time being. Currently I'm considering covering the remaining two windows with blankets (the other has this leopard design, the other depicts 'The Kiss' by Victoria Frances). The two other windows are in the living room (I cannot believe this is a studio!), the other also giving a clear view to the nosy neighbour. Perhaps tomorrow... Tomorrow I'll also do something about the bookshelf. Heh... you can see clearly the two most important parts of my life: the computer and the bed. No need for the TV just yet. I can update thge news online and there's nothing important airing until tomorrow evening. So I'll just take my time.

Damn... my feet hurt so I'm not going to start emptying the bedroom and the desk I have here. I could do with the space but I'll manage laying here on my bed. Getting tired too: I did wake up at eleven a.m. but I guess today's been too busy. Plus I want to read 'V for Vendetta' the graphic novel. I likey.

I have an exam tomorrow. The final course I have to pass in order to get my Bachelor's papers out. Wanna guess how that'll go?

One more box to fill and I will scream.

Millikan, how do you do it? I'm only moving within the town, your scale is in countries. How do you do it?

Jo nyt on perkele...! Uskomaton tyyppi... siis voi jumalauta!

My town's bus connections are notorious. I've heard many a negative story from acquitances but I've nevet quite thought it's as bad as they make it sound. Now I have to take it back. The following happened:

I got my very first bus card last Friday. Today I was waiting for the number 1 bus alongside with many others on the same bus stop. There were two of us there going with One as I learned when the bus arrived. The bus stopped in front of the other who was standing quite far from me. I see the bus stopping there, far from me, and start walking towards it while visibly holding the card on my hand. The other enters the bus, I walk forward... and about a metre from the door, the driver closes the door and drives past me. I was very visibly entering the fucking bus as everyone else on the stop noticed, and he drives past me! You can guess exactly how many course words in several languages -including klingon- went through my head during the following three seconds (but there were kids present so I kept my mouth shut). An old woman looked at me and said that if I'm on my way to P (as I was) number 3 in ten minutes goes that way.

The bus company is so getting a complaint tomorrow... The drivers are impolite, irritant and -as is very clearly- in a wrong bloody profession! They're getting paid for doing their job and I'm one who pays them. Or is it the same thing as with the church: my money is good enough but not me?

I'm too lucky...

Seriously, I am. Three times during this semester have I taken an exam with the attitude "I'm just going to go and see the questions". Twice I have passed the bloody exam! Twice!!! I just might pass the third as well. I'm way too lucky. It's likely to gnaw on my motivation (although these two courses I've passed have been in the filling-up-the-amount-of-required-credit category...). But still... Damn ;)

And for those two exams I read absolutely nothing, and are together worth ten credits. I'm baaaaaaad.
