It can't rain all the time... New Post!

It's mad I tell you, mad!

More shopping! Acggghhhhhhgurglecoughagtgagaga!

My consolation prize is that CSI is on tonight! Yeah baybe!

Ok, so for the first 3 or 4 seasons, I thought Catherine Willows was da Bomb! I barely noticed Sara Sidle...

Now however, I am noticing 'Sara Baybe'. I think the producers and writers have done something to give Jorja Fox's character some more hubba, or something.

Not that Marg Helgenberger is at all shabby, I adored her in China Beach and she is a very attractive woman, but this season I seem to be noticing her less, and Jorja more.

Oh well...

Now I must go and recover my scattered wits, there is something insane about grocery shopping; I hate it, so I shop for like 2 or 3 weeks at a time, which always causes cashiers to cringe and other customers to stare at me...

Heh...

It's a beauiful day...

And I am feeling creative; a damn good thing too, as I have so-called homework to do (which at my age just sounds silly) and I have 2 or 3 unfinished stories to write, I need to finish making my house, yard and sheds winter-proof.

I also need to go shopping... snore ...

Don't get me wrong, I kind of like shopping, sometimes, but not when it's groceries and stuff.

Why do kids want to grow up so fast? Being an adult is fun, sure, but it is also a drag oftentimes...

Ah well, can't complain, but today I must workout though, as winter will make me into a blob if I let it...

Manic Monday

Actually it is very calm, but I was having a Bangles moment... Shush, Rain - you're showing your age!

Well, my pet PC started up nicely this morning and aside from some pre-assumed settings, courtesy of Bill Gates, things seem to be just fine! Yay...

I am enjoying my last day of somewhat vacation, hoping that nothing will happen today that demands too much of my attention as I am truly not in the mood.

Not unless she is Phat!

My next challenge is to find a way of getting my hands on the first season of The L Word, without paying and arm and a leg and a kidney for it.

Of course, this goal is right along side the ones of lesbian world domination, (Yes, the Christian Right is correct, there is a sinister Gay Agenda! *D'oh!*) and finding the perfect cup of coffee...

Tralalaa...

How to raise a computer...

Ah, well, my second installation of security software was much more successful than the fiasco of the other day.

Be it because I have gotten better, or because the installation file was just better, who knows...

Anyway, no my little computer is humming along so well and is safe(r) from dem-dere nasty thingies that float about the internet.

So, I must say that Wire in The Blood is truly a good show, even me, the consummate Cop-Show watching Hitchcock fan can't even figure out what is going to happen next.

It of course helps that the lovely DI Jordan is just so lovely...

The show, Cold Feet, was another place where I got to drool over her, but alas in that show she was not the focus and some weeks did not even show up, so I would start channel surfing, well ok, channel paddling...

I only have basic 4 stations...

So, the Jazz playing on my stereo is smooth; now I just need an ocean vista and a freshly made cappuccino and some conversation to go with it...

Let is snow!

It's cold outside! No wait, it's not...

But it did snow last night, a couple of centimetres, of very wet and heavy snow.

My puppy, who has never seen snow, was very funny as he tip-toed in a very funny doggy way cross the yard...

Really, he is so fussy, does not like rain, cold, snow; maybe he is related to me.

Speaking of pets... My pet PC seems to have calmed down from whatever constipation it was having a few days ago when I installed a new firewall and new anti-virus software.

Though, I still have one more upgrade to make, so no doubt we will be going through the whole mess again sometimes soon, just as soon as I make said upgrade.

On another front, tonight comes Wire in The Blood!

Hermione Norris is da BOMB!

- imho anyway -

And all that Jazz...

Living in the boonies certainly comes with it's advantages, for certain... But it also comes with not-so-great features...

I miss Jazz and Blues clubs, cafe-life and cappuccino...

Opera, theatre, dancing and bookstores!

But then, here I can view the night sky unpolluted by city lights, I can hear silence and I can make coffee from lake water, without worrying that it is tainted by heavy metals or chemicals.

Maybe I just need a short vacation in the city?

I also miss women; really this is the music talking, Jazz always makes me wax the philosophical and not so well either...

It's cold outside...

All of a sudden, I have a buggy computer... Need to spray it with RAID or something; or maybe I will simply defenestrate it...

I really dunno what it up with it, none of my security programs finds anything wrong, the registry looks normal, the boot manager is not showing a crowd at start up and whatever, but I supose it is innevitable.

Who knew that computers had puberty, but then, before this, I used Macintosh, so the PC world though familiar, was never something that I paid much attention to.

If it was a woman, I could ease its ills and soothe it so that it would cooperate with me...

Saturday... Anything on TV today? No...

But tomorrow, we have Wire in The Blood and let me just say, Detective Inspector Carol Jordan can wrap her legs around me and squeeze anytime she likes!
