When I got home, I found that I had Madonna's new album in my mailbox! Whohoo...
I am now listening to it for the second time, and I can say that this is her first album since Erotica, that I have liked the first time I listened to it...
Her ballad album: Something to Remember, was also good, but it was kind of a wedge between two albums, so I am ignoring it...
Bedtime Stories, Ray of Light, Music and American Life, all had to grow on me and some never did... I have Music, and I 'like it' for sure, but I do not listen to it, rather I have the singles I like from it especially and it just fills a niche in my Madonna album section...
Anyway, this new album, Confessions on a Dance Floor, is very good... aside from the obvious danceable nature of it, some of it has a real hip moving beat... The lyrics are intelligent and it sounds like a grown up version of her former self... and it also includes some of the funky stuff that we have come to know and love from her last few albums...
Anyway, yehup, this would get me onto the dance floor...
