Fangirl mode: ON

You see, I discovered them when I was maybe 15 or 16. I bought an issue of Kerrang! magazine because it had a story about My Chemical Romance, but with it came this CD "The best songs of 2005" or something, and on it was a song called "Sophomore slump or comeback of the year" by this band I had never heard of before called Fall Out Boy.

It was love at first sight.

Over the years I got all of their studio albums, saw them live twice in Minnesota (I still have confetti from the Honda Civic show in a bag somewhere) and I even have two tattoos inspired by their lyrics.

About three years ago they announced that they're now on an "indefinite hiatus". Broke my heart.

They went off to do other things, side projects, their lead singer Patrick Stump released a solo album that I absolutely love, so that eased the pain a little bit. But still. It wasn't Fall Out Boy.

But now. They're back. They released a new single yesterday, announced tour dates (I can't go to any of them, but still) and a new album is set to be released in May.

Do you have any idea how fucking happy I am? This is the band I've loved for 8 years, this is the music that never fails to make me happy, this is the band with the most talented singer and the most incredible lyrics I have ever come across.

In the words of Chandler Bing, "I am so excited, I may vomit".

I can't get enough of their new single;
